Hey, I'm new to the forums so hopefully I can ask on this thread. I just bought the Icon 0-3.5" lift extended travel coilover kit w/remote reservoir with TCO 96504 ARM PAIR and 2X ICON 56503R rear shocks. Should I set the front to 2" or can I set it to the full 3" without it being too stiff?

The more preload you add the stiffer it will be. Its your choice. Is hieght or ride more important to you? if you wanna fit 33's you should at least go 2.5 to avoid rubbing

    Yeah I bought BFG A/T TA KO2's in a 32.7 size so basically a 33".
Going to be traveling a lot in Baja.

I have my icons at 2.75 to fit my 285's. I dont have much preload because I got longer stiffer coils to compensate for the added wieght of my armor

Ok, So I set my lift at 2.5" with 33" KO2's and there is some rubbing with the flaps still on so I'm going to remove them and see what happens but looks good so far and have been getting compliments already. tacomawithlift1.jpg

I got 285's on mine. Rubbed a little until I set it to 2.5". I took off mudflaps also.

    Some stuff...
3" on 33's. Had to CMC and trim. Ride is stiffer than when I was at 2" or even 2.5" but I'm good with it.

Do you still have rubbing after you removed the mudflaps? If yes, may I know your caster setting?

I set mine at 3" lift without mudflaps, caster at 2.7 degrees. Yet, it is rubbing during turns and backing up in the cab mount more with the BFG AT KO2 than with the BFG M/T KO2 that it replaced. :(

 LMAO at the "I lifted it to 2.5" and have no more rubbing."

You still rub, suspension travel didn't change.
