How much lift do you have in the front? I am installing these Icon rxt lead springs tomorrow and not sure which Option to go with. I've gotten different answers from even Icon themselves and a local shop. I have a 2.5" lift in the front with Bilstein 6112s and 5160s in the rear. I dont carry any weight as in tent or camper.

    hi
the front has bilstein 6112's set on the 4th notch for advertised 2 1/8" lift.
    i've had them since april - they've settled 1/8".
my rxt's are installed at option 2 - rake is just a bit more than the stock rake which i want because i carry a camping load.
when i'm loaded out for camping at about 600# it sits about level.
love the ride front & rear unloaded or loaded.
tires in that pic are 265/75/r16, but next size will be 285/55/r16.

sounds like your 2.5" lift in front coupled with rxt's at option2 will still give you some rake, which to me is a good thing.
let me know if you'd like hub to fender measurements.

I don't plan on adding a camper, tent or much weight to this build. Maybe the most I would ever do is a high clearence rear bumper. I am currenty running 285/70/17 Wildpeaks. My 6112s upfront are set at clip #5 for the advertised 2.46" lift. Would recommend I go with Option #1 or would that still give me droop? Sure, shoot me the measurements. That might help me figure this out. Thanks brother.

I am surprised that the bottom blade does NOT have any pads and no brass spacer in between like the other blades. Also, why is a spacer between the very top blade and the second one?
I removed all of my brass spacers when I installed the RXT pack and now I have a squeak. Will drop the pack and rebuild it soon with custom brass spacers and better plastic pads.
Should I drill holes in the last blade and put plastic pads in there? Any reason why is none from the factory?

Im sure there is a reason. Those lower springs are always in contact with the ones above it, they dont move much, theres likely a lot of load on them.. Im spit balling here, but I wouldnt rush out to change their design until you confirm that your noise issues are from the leaves themselves, and not the bushings or something else

Going off the assumption that factory rake is about 1.75” & your front lift of 2.5”...option 1 will give you 1.25” of rake & option 2 would give you 1.5” of rake.

all depends on how you use your truck & the look you’re after...I’ll send measurements at lunchtime

ugh, been trying to figure out why my back end has seemed so high ever since install few weeks ago. Some reason the (option 2) gave me 5" of ride height..... nothing aftermarket in rear except fox 2.0 shocks. No added weight...... that's a huge different from what it was supposed to be...

You can drop everything but the main leaf bolts holding in the leafs and change it in the truck.

I'm kinda right there with you. Less ass up since I'm on option 1. It's about 3". Figure it just needs time to settle.

@Tha_babyraptor what are your rear hub to fender measurements?

    Before lift = ?
    After lift = ?

Do you have side pics of your truck?

I also experienced a higher rear lift that expected. I still haven't been able to figure it out.

I just installed mine last night at option 3 and had a 5in raise over stock initially. After loading it up and taking it out, it settled to 38 3/4. That was way more than I wanted and now is giving me driveshaft vibration. I'm gonna drop it to option 2 tomorrow and see how that settles. I was REALLY hoping not to have to mess with any driveshaft angles, but the amount of lift is much higher than the advertisement.

    Before lift = 35in
    After lift = 40in
    Settled Plus weight = 38 3/4

Also, stupid question, but how do you tell the direction of the AAL? It says point the longer end towards the front, but both ends seemed equally long from the center.

I finally got around to re configuring the leaf pack from option 2 to option 1. I also have the Tundra Fox 2.5 with DSC res. I'm starting to think there is something wrong with one of my leaf packs. On the driver side I measure 24" center hub to fender. On the the passenger side, I meausure 24.625". Do the leaf packs come in a driver and passenger side?

The driver's side of my truck always seems to sit about 1/2in lower, both in the front and the back. Take some measurements with a full tank and an empty tank of gas and you'll likely see a variance. There is no difference in driver/passenger leaf packs as far as I know.

Thanks I'll take the measurements as you suggested. I might swap the leaf pack from passenger to driver side when I have some time.

I do like option #1 with my setup though. Its not as stiff as when I was riding on option #2 and I still have some rake. (2.5" lift upfront)

In another RXT thread there was someone who put option 1 or 2 on the passenger side and option 2 or 3 on the drivers side to accomodate for the lean. I'm on option 2 for both sides and I'm not worried about a little lean. I do have more weight on the drivers side (group 27 battery, gas tank, fridge and awning). When I load up for trips, I keep that in mind and work to keep the water and heavier camping gear on the passenger side of the bed.

Does anyone know if you put option 2 on and then later decided to add the leaf for option 3 If you would have to replace the u bolts since you would be loosening them?

I am in need of the stage one leaf spring clamps the RXT springs come with already installed. Therefore, if anyone changed their leaf’s to stage two or three and can send me your stage one clamps you took off I will gladly pay you for them. I really appreciate any help!
