That’s why I included the icon literature but I also quoted dmello saying they are shipped option 1...

Sorry, my bad, I didn't see that note from DeMello. I'm guessing that might be a typo, since I ordered the shocks direct from Icon and those instructions are correct.

Mine was shipped as option 1 as stated in the instruction sheet.

    3A19FC82-54B8-408C-A786-A4EC00069558.jpg Questions...

Did your leaf packs include 2 each of these parts?
Are these parts perhaps for option 3?
The install instructions are vague, but they do say “longer clips are provided for additional pack thickness”....but the bolt included is a center pin (not a clip bolt), and is the same length as the pins installed in the packs...hmmm

I used the longer bracket and the liner (for the extra leaf) for option 3. You are right about the extra bolt, it is the same size. I'm guessing they provided an extra set in case you cut your original ones shorter.

What kind of load to you carry with option 3 & how does it do (squat-wise).

I'm actually carrying no load right now. I went with option 3 because I'm going to get a cap in the near future and didn't want to go through the hassle of changing it. The lift in height is very close to what Icon states, ~2.75.

Good to know the lift height being as advertised...
    Thx!

How are people dealing with vibrations if any with the RXT? I’m getting take off shudder and tried different shims but to no avail

I’m running them at option 3; extra leaf added for heavy trucks.

High clearance rear with double swingout, jerry cans, and spare tire
    Camper shell
    Bedslide

Double loop on the leafs goes forward.
Extra clip and flat plate are used only for option 3. Orientation of extra leaf will only look “correct” one way, it will match the stair-step pattern of all the others.

C-clamps make rebuilding the leaf pack much easier, as does a socket for the nut and vice grips/channel-locks for the pin. I also used a punch to help align everything.

    What option are you at?
Did you install the CB drop?

No CB drop. That is what I am going to try next. I wanted to first try fixing it with just shims but guess not. Did you do CB drop and shims?

    I’m on option 3.

    I’m option 2
    Did the CB drop...no shims
It’s brand new-I’m unsure if there is any takeoff shutter. If there is, it’s very faint.
I’m more concerned with the needle bearing vibe right now.

I currently drive with no load in the back 95% of the time, but 3-4 times a year tow a camper with a 350lb tongue weight plus gear in the back (300lbs or so). Would option 2 be best for this setup? I also have RCI skids and sliders, and no plans to add any more weight.

Thanks. Im basically in the same boat as @zztacoma. Dont carry any real weight except towing and camping. Trying to decide between settings one and two.

This is where I've been lately. I already have the icon add a leaf, I dont think number one would raise me any higher than that.

I might start with 3 and then just reduce if need be. We might be getting a heavier camper (+600lbs) so it may actually be more beneficial. How hard is it to go back to option 2? I'm hoping the daily ride quality on 3 is still good.

For those who have reassembled these springs, how much leaf overlap is within tolerance? Some of the leaves are just slightly off and its a bitch to get them completely even.
