Hey everyone. I have a question about the shocks on these trucks. First off I'm new so sorry if I'm in the wrong place or going about this wrong. But my truck is a 08 4.0l trd off road with toytech 3 inch lift. I wasn't sure if standard oe shocks would fit of if I have to by new that comes with the springs and spacer? Any help would be great

I installed them with the 3rd option since I’ll be adding some weight to the back. Currently I have 5100 shocks in back and also at the front at the highest setting but there is still some rake and idk if I can fit any bigger tires yet in the front. What do you guys think?

Got a random question for you guys...I have a friend who is running option 2 on his leafs, but during the install his option 3 clips and bolts got misplaced. Does anyone know if Icon can replace these or if someone here has been in a similar situation? He called Icon up and the technician at Icon said he would call back, but had to do research on that since they typically come with the kit which seemed a little odd. He is confident Icon can figure this out, but we are entertaining making some custom pieces if Icon doesnt come through.

Changed to option 3 last week in preparation for towing and camping over the weekend. Jumped me up to 25" from hub to bottom of fender in the rear. Fronts are at 23" from hub to bottom of fender. Yes, the Taco lean is real, 24" from hub to bottom of fender on the driver side rear. The ride was a little stiffer in the rear but not by much and not to the point of uncomfortable, it actually still feels better than the stock leafs. The ICON RXT are great in that they have multiple thin leaves. Yes, the optional leaf does have a specific direction it needs to be install and there was only one way to install so that the plastic pads came into contact with just the leafs also. I do recommend installing compression adjustable rear shocks if you want to control ride comfort between fully loaded and unloaded. Compared to Option 1, overall the jump to Option 3 was perfect for towing and handled the additional weight without sagging too much or ever hitting the bump stops. Ride was softer when fully loaded of course, and the ride is still comfortable for daily driving unloaded. I don't have a topper that would add additional weight and space for more gear but if I did, I think I might have to go to the Dakar HD leafs to avoid severely sagging but for now these will work perfectly.

It was fun but I never want to do again.

Something's wrong with this leaf spring retaining bolt....

Unfortunately I didn't get any good pictures of the truck fully loaded and measurements on what that sag. I'm estimating it was about 1.5" or 2" of sag when it was fully loaded.

For reference this was last year on option 1 which I didn't plan for.

@crashngiggles I think option 3 for my truck will be too much. I only have the RTT on top of the Aluminum Bed Rack, the Wilco Offset Hitchgate with full size spare. I have a fridge back there plus the other Northstar Battery in the bed. I like level and I think this will leave me to high in the rear unless someone wants to chime in and say otherwise.

No problem. I will set them for 2. If anything changes or settles, we can always add in the 3rd.

For those who say they are running option 3 (addition of the loose leaf) for 8 leaves in the pack, how did you get the rear binder together? Mine was darn near impossible replacing the 3rd leaf with the loose leaf.

This is how I did mine. Option 2, though, so it was presumably not as tight.

I know how to change leafs, that's not what I'm saying.

There is physically no room to add another leaf that is .238" thick (according to my leaf and my calipers, i just measured) in the below picture.
Is that part supposed to be left off?

    clamp.jpg

    @Icon_Adrian any thoughts on this?

Sorry for the confusion. Didnt you get different clip included in your pack? I think I got a longer one(or deeper) for use with 3rd setting.

    fooking Amazon.

That answers my question. Thanks. I dont anticipate using all leaves at once, but if I paid for something, I want it.

Yep I ordered from @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc . Like that post said, the instructions are a bit vague concerning the included parts. I didnt need the longer clip since I just swapped out one leaf for the thicker one. I'd call Icon.
