OP, did you have to cut the body to get the UCA bolts out? I want this lift but not crazy about cutting my truck.

You dont have to "cut" the body but you will absolutely have to bend the inner fender well area around the head of the bolt to get it out. There is no way around it without taking the body off the frame.

    --^ beat me to it.

You do not need to cut the body to get the original UCA bolts out. You will likely need to bend the edge of the body slightly with some vice grips/etc. but this can be bent back and it is not visible once the wheel wheel shrouding is reinstalled. If the dealership for some reason needed to replace the UCA, they too would have to bend the body slightly, its in the FSM instructions. (the suspension is installed before the body is mated to the chassis during manufacture) You can also choose to cut the original UCA bolts out with a saw-all and replace with new factory UCA bolts. It is easier to put the bolts in backwards. When removing them, be careful not to punch into the airbag module bolted to the top of the fender well area below the battery. Also, make sure you lube up the bushing real good when reinstalling and tighten down but wait until the truck is on its own weight to torque down final, helps with bushings.

I installed my setup myself (w/ helping hand) in my garage. Save some money and do it yourself if you have the tools and area to work. Also, check out the regional threads for your home area and see if some of the people want to lend a hand for a "mod" day. It took me most of a Saturday and the next morning, I am sure some people could install faster.

Or since you are spending thousands on suspension... spend 18 more dollars and get two new UCA bolts and cut the olds ones off with a sawzaw. Install new ones backwards and you dont even have to touch the body.
