I am fixing to do the install tomorrow and was looking at the crossovers that came with the Image Dynamics XS-69's. There are 5 jumper termination points with three sets of pins each. The instructions do not identify what each site controls or what the jumper positions select. Does anyone who has the ID XS-69's remember what their jumpers are set on for each position? Not sure how to go about tuning these with no identification as to what the jumpers control and which one does what.

Any help appreciated. It would really be nice if they had identified the jumper locations on the circuit board and what the jumper positions control.

Noticed that one of them is labeled Tweeter and has db numbers. That should be to change the tweeter volume + or - that many decibels to get the sound adjusted for your application. Connectors are IN from the amp, W out to the woofer (or mid), T out to the tweeter. The jumpers marked J1, J2, etc, might change the crossover freqs and be factory selected for the particular speaker model you have. Then they can use the same crossover for different speaker packages, just changing the jumpers at the factory. If so, they should already be set correctly for your speaker set and you don't need to change them. Just a guess from a former Electronics Tech.

Well as can be clearly seen there is nothing other than alphanumeric designations for the jumper terminations. I started looking at the traces on the back of the circuit board from the input term block at the front to see if I could trace out the connections but that will take some time to build the schematic on paper so I can see the capacitive-resistive network that forms the high-pass and low-pass filters. Also the caps are not labeled as to their capacitance values so that does not help either. I thought it would be really nice if someone could indicate what the jumper locations controlled and maybe even what they set the jumpers to just for starters if possible. It took awhile to shoot the pics, process in lightroom, upload to smug, and then get them on here. I need to get out there and start the install. Kind of nervous about this whole thing...never done this before. Any help on this jumper thing would be greatly appreciated. Especially from someone who has the XS-69's and has dealt with these jumpers already.

The wiring connections are not the problem. I just wanted to confirm that the jumpers are set to where I won't fry the tweets right off the bat when I first power it all up and start testing it all out. Hopefully the jumpers are already set for these speakers and all will be OK. Also I was going to mount the crossovers at the doors to not have to pull two sets of wires to each door from the crossovers if I was to put them next to the amp but re-thinking that now since I may have to fiddle with the jumpers? It would not be very convenient to have to pull the plastic off the doors to adjust the jumpers on the CO's. I haven't been able to get ahold of Marv but hopefully sometime today I can ask him about this.

I just installed some component speakers in the rear doors of my access cab and I pulled both sets of speaker wires into the cab and mounted my crossovers on the edge of the back wall kind of behind the outside seat mounting point. The wires were long enough, but just barely. They are out of the way there, but accessible if adjustment needed. Was going to post some pics, but got lazy by the time I finished with it and haven't gotten around to posting them.
