    well shit the starting problem is still there. i have reasoned that it is some wire connection problem somewhere between the starter and the battery. sometimes i will turn the key and it fires right up, other times i turn it 5 times, it clicks each time, then it eventually fires up. its pretty much hit and miss as to when it starts first try...:( so tomorrow i guess im going fishing through wire to try to find where its loose or not 100% connecting.

    ya thats what i started with, i replaced the power connector and moved around/cleaned the negative connector. so tomorrow im replacing the negative one also and just doing a full wire check, crossed fingers its not a PITA

    no, but after the first time it happened i disconnected the lights and they have not been connected since and it is doing the same thing, so somewhere while installing the lights something got hit and became loose.

    Sounds like you've been pretty thorough with all the work you have done around this problem so far. However, this latest description make me think starter solenoid.

    Would thoes symtoms be caused by a starter solenoid? I mean it clicks every single time, and when it didn't start one of the times I loosened the connecter on the battery terminal and shifted it and tightened it back down and it started, and when it wants to start it fires up instantly.

    What are typical symptoms of a bad starter

    So what I have been noticing (just did this literaly 60 seconds ago) is that when it does not fire up the first time, and it just clicks, all I have to do is just turn the key 3 to 5 times, ( it clicks each time) and it starts...so is the starter just going bad? Again like I said this problem didn't happen before I disconnected the battery to put in lights.

    modded the F*ck out
    It's typical of the 4 banger cold starting mine does the same thing from time to time
    Check the forum there are a couple of threads on the issue.
