my paint was fucked when i bought mine its got more touch up paint than original paint. it's got a million swirl marks and holograms, I need to wet sand it and fix it sometime this summer

 

so after hanging out with the custom car people (IMS) regularly i think I want to buy a cheap generic DD beater car thing, and just DUMP the fucker and drive that around and play with it. Actually making it fast is to expensive, so ill lower the hell out of it, cover it in stickers and troll around with the car people with something other than a lifted truck

 

not worth paying someone to do. you can do that yourself Ben in an afternoon.

and shampoo??

full paint correction isn't cheap to have it done right, it's a lot of labor.

I'd start with 3k grit and go up from there

well hey, im just trying to encourage the engineer to actually get his hands dirty and do something other then design stuff on a computer

 

well you see the cut of the sandpaper is multiplied exponentially by the net force pushing it against the clear coat but a thin layer of water helps lower the effort needed to move the sandpaper across the surface while keeping the sandpaper uncontaminated at the same time i don't use periods because I'm an engineer and we don't use them or grammar

don't shine the tires that shit eventually makes them dry rot faster.

it's still going to cost you about 250 bucks to have the truck polished. a good detail shop will wash the truck, clay bar it, then polish and wax, if it's not done in that order the buffing pad will be contaminated and will make your truck look worse than when you took it in.
