Like I said I'm not getting a green light or anything so it's like it's not even getting power? I don't understand, car audio is my passion and iv installed 100 different sound systems and 200 head units but this is beyond me

Does it flash red then go to no green light on start up or do you have no lights at all, like a dead unit?

Do you get lights when you are flashing it from a laptop?

Does anyone know if the gauge selection is limited by the radio, the year of the truck or by the idatalink itself? I just contacted crutchfield asking about gauage selection and they said that I wouldn't be able to display trans temp or coolant temp.

2009 DCSB. JVC 620BT head unit

It had the option for the tranny temp but it's greyed out for me

Those two and average mpg are the ones I'm most interested in so I might be looking to get an ultragauge

Assuming you already did this, but maybe someone else can use it. It's the walkthrough for bypassing the parking brake function for Pioneer NEX units. This will give you the option to not need to wire to the parking brake. Hopefully nobody uses this to watch movies (themselves) while driving. We already have enough fucktards driving distracted. I rarely use this feature, but it is nice if you want your passenger to have that option.

Did you have something installed (other than the Maestro), to get the tire pressure info? I'm going to be installing the RR on my 2015 Tacoma.

    Thanks

    minor tweaks
I recently installed the Maestro with a Kenwood DNX574S in an '06 DCSB, great system. I purchased it to get steering wheel control functionality, I've tried some other piggyback systems to get that capability and they were a disappointment. Gauge selection will be limited by the year of your tacoma. My '06 won't show the tranny temp but it will show most of the others and went from an idiot light for the TPMS to individual pressures (and temps) for each wheel. Best part was it made the factory JBL amp and speakers along with the stereo controls integrate properly with the HU and added a secondary function to each SW button. I don't crank the tunes so the JBLs at the volume range they are capable of sound allot better then with the OE HU. Great product!

Because of a shipping problem with Crutchfield I ended up with a spare unopened T01 unit, if anyone is interested let me know, I'll make you a good deal on it.

just to post some info on an old thread. I attempted to use the Maestro RR2 with my setup, it still does NOT support transmission temp on an 08 DCLB Sport.

How the hell did you get all the wiring and the maestro to fit behind the stereo? Mine will not go in no matter what I try.

Sorry to dig up an old thread.
But, I am curious if anyone with a 2011 has the mpg/ fuel economy gauge working with the idatalink maestro?
I recently installed it in mine and have most everything but that. The gauge is there but it never changes.

I don't have a 2011 but I have this in my 2015. From what I remember you have to tap the gear icon (I think top right of screen? sorry going off memory) and then set the fuel tank size.

I've never found this calculation very accurate compared to my manual calculations. If you really want that to work you might have to fudge the tank size number via trial & error so that whatever calculation the Maestro is doing matches with reality.
