Idle problems

    Hi Everyone I have a 2001 Toyota Tacoma. Purchased it about 2 months ago. 1st toyota so still learning about them Has been doing fine but Now it is ideling at almost 2000rpm after warmed up. Any ideas What the issue could be

    3in lift, Tow package, Any time 400w inverter, in cab outlet, vinyl floor, roof rack
    I would start with the easiest and cheapest troubleshooting then work my way up from there.

    Check the following:

    Inlet to the Air filter box ensure no clogs or debris. That’s under the fender.

    Air filter, ensure no debris or clogged filter.

    If all is good above.
    Do the following:
    Clean MAF sensor
    Clean throttle plate.
    check intake pipes for clogs.

    If problem still occurs, you may have a failed MAF sensor.
    I’m not sure if loose or failing timingchain would cause high idle RPM? Guys?
