So I have been researching what will be my first new vehicle, and jesus it is a tough decision. I have always wanted a Tacoma, but I am having a hard time justifying it. Between climbing gas prices and me wanting more "creature" comforts (leather, dual-zone climate, moonroof, etc). I find myself hesitant to pull the trigger on the Taco, because it lacks these comforts. I WANT the Taco but I don't NEED it. So I ask, if you didn't need a truck. What car would you get?

Sonata. I was going to get one, but I got the truck because it suits my needs better (always hauling crap) and now I tow my brother's Jeep.

Well the DCSB sport is at the very top of my budget. I am looking at sedans as other options. I looked at the Subaru Legacy and I really like them. I do have winter driving so the AWD would be nice. I also like the looks of the Camry SE.

My mom and dad have a 2009 Camry XLE and they freak'n love it. I would definatly stay with the Toyota brand. (better resale value) Good luck!

I have seen the Sonata's and they are really nice, but I don't know if I trust Hyundai.

My parents just bought another 2011 Camry XLE and it is very nice. They traded a 2005 XLE with only 30k miles but didn't think to ask if I wanted it. They didnt get hardly any trade in value for it

Hyundai and Kia have really stepped up the quality. It seems 2006 and up are pretty good. They come with 5 year bumper to bumper warranty i think. Toyota is my first choice but i would consider Kia/Hyundai. My girlfriend has a Kia Soul, no complaints as of yet.

    Visit the Build.
I drove a Camry SE a few years ago and was not impressed. I have a 2009 Corolla XRS (same engine as the TC) and definitely prefer that. I also stick with Toyota. Get a Venza...then you can have leather and TWO moonroofs. :)

I've had 2 Mazda3's, both were the s grand touring with the heated seats and sun roof and what-not, and they are great little cars. But the key words there are "little cars". If you can live with a compact car, that is my vote. My only complaint about the Mazda3 is the size; everything else was fantastic. It was a little luxury car with a small price tag.

Yeah I looked at smaller sedans, but I don't want to crawl into the car. The midsize sedans fit me better.

Hell ya, but he said the taco is at his highest price. The Venzas are very expensive!
