I've owned a Toyota 1984 4wd, 1995 4wd, 1998 4wd( son's truck), 2002 4wd and 4wks ago bought a 2019 4wd. I'm guilty of saying they ride rough. I had a 2010 chevy crew z71 ltz with 2" level. Took a dam football field to turn it around but the ride was good. Some guy offered me 32k for it with 64k miles on it. I turned that into a over priced 2019 dcsb or with 86k miles to travel fire breaks and trails the limo just couldn't do. I can get where I want to go now and the ride I remember well with 3"lift 265/75/16 mud tires 7' apart. Like that crazy guy scotty on youtube says "They r terrorist aproved" for a reason. So any future tacoma wanna be buyers even new buyers if you want a "get it done off road" truck that is not completly stock there is a price to pay. I'm just done trying to smooth the ride. Sure there's some guy's that say they have a Tacoma Cadillac and good for them. It aint me and It is what it is. Here's to a couple hundred thousand miles of not so smooth riding just like the my past Toyota 4wd's. Rolling on!!!

I have to say I could not be happier with the ride quality of my 2021 DC TRD Sport. I did switch to 16 inch FN Wheels that weigh 19 pounds and downsized to the 245/75/16 tire size for less overall unsprung weight.

Sounds like you need some Accutune shocks and suspension work along with appropriate tire pressure.

It's all good. Just not like sitting on the couch in the living room with the stretched out wheel base of my past truck, thats the compromise. I see so many people trying to fix the taco ride on this site. Chasing that unicorn

Haha I saw stuff like that at the auction I used to work at

Those old shitty Lincolns with airbag rears would blow out and the shady used car dealers would try to sell them that way

Mine rides like a cadillac... after it hits a pebble in the road or a bump at least 1mm or greater in height...

fucken all over the place, lol. The OR had an interesting bounce to it to begin with and my lift made it slightly more prominent. Meh... who needs to relax and drive? White knuckle or gtfo the road ;)
