NO, What I seen was more.of notes from a dealer meeting and just covering the years that they recalled the grucks on the first batch and a year range for the latest known troubled ones.

lol Nice! :D Dell has most of us techs use personal cars on the job, and rentals when we travel so they probably really don't have any sort of fleet let alone a fleet discount. The hospital I'm at doesn't have a lot of vehicles either, so the same deal. I wonder if I could find someone with a fleet discount locally....

FWIW I sold my 08 4door offroad 4x4 for $14k. It had 190k miles on it too. I did private party because the dealers told me they'd embarass me with their price offer. I didn't have frame issues though so I know thats a different story :(

I would be in a Subaru Impreza hatchback if I didn't have the Tacoma.

Dumb that you can't get a diesel power wagon.

Yep I have looked into it.
they claim the winch will not fit and the axle is different so no locker for the rear.
If I remember they have and use the same front axle. Just different springs.

The thing about them going 4 way coil is a lift is easy and cheap for them.
You can even go air bags abd set it to what ever needed or use the air lift for off road.
Kind of a real cool set up and one of the last solid axle setups out there. Think only jeep and HD Ford use solid axle now.

You don't want the airbags on the powerwagon. They limit travel and will get damaged if you flex the rear.

That being said I saw the powerwagon last week and I was impressed with what you get for the money

I went to the auto show today and compared all the trucks. Here's my rating from what I like most to least.
    GMC Sierra
    Chevy Silverado
    Ram 1500
    Ford F-150
    Toyota Tundra

They were all pretty close but I still like the GM trucks the most. Plush and comfy seats and the gauges and dash layout make sense. The wheel wells have the bmw style fabric liners to keep rock noise down. Gmc pretty much requires you to get gangster rims on all the loaded trucks.

The ram is nice inside and the push button start and dial transmission shifter is innovative. The touch screen has a lot going on and you could spend all day messing with creature features. Gauges are easy to use. The seats are comfy. The leather seems cheap. The 5.7L is a beast engine. I would never get the rambox.

The F-150 seats were too firm and I couldn't move the seat back far enough to get ample legroom for my long legs. The steering wheel was busy. I liked the different inside door handles. The only engine I would consider is the 5.0L. The aluminum body seemed durable, but I would worry about repairing it. No inner wheel well liners at all so it looked like mud and crap could collect all over.

The tundra is just bad. Too big and bulky and still cheap and outdated looking inside. The TRD pro package didn't get much for the price. The skid plate looked nice though.

    One of these is tempting.

Well, I got a better deal today. Nye Auto in Oneida will give me the TrueCar discount, and keep my truck on their lot with my plates on so their Toyota body shop can replace the frame under warranty before selling. With that, they'll give me $8500 trade, which I suppose isn't bad given the tailgate's rusted out and there's a few dents and scratches. The KBB value was $9k to $13k, and it's not in mint condition.

Now I just have to figure out what the new job pays, and if I want to get into a $600 payment again right now or wait for the Pathfinder to be paid off.

    Yes sir
Either a 78' Bronco or I'd still be rippin' in my dad's 97' ford f350 crew cab, same look but stock rims and dark green. Update: if I went with a car it'd HAVE to be the 1967, 68', or 69' mustang fastback, not eleanor, I think the regular fastback's looked better.

If I didn't need a truck for work and driving out to mountain bike trails in the rockies I would have upgraded from my 01 golf into an Audi TT or Golf GTI. I do miss having a hatchback, but having 4x4 and space for my tools, bikes and whatever that doesn't need to go inside the vehicle is why I have a Tacoma.

Other trucks that are nice are the new GM's, they look great and ride great. My boss has a Silverado LTZ 2014 and its a very nice truck. I am interested in seeing what happens with the new Frontier getting a diesel possibly?

I saw one of those in white at the local Ford dealer I stopped at last week, and a yellow/black one at the one I stopped at over the weekend. And I agree! I wanted one too, but had to keep telling myself it was useless for towing and would probably end my license!

In other news another dealer offered my $3500 for my truck, as is. Better than the first offer of $2000 as-is, but damn! It's nowhere near what KBB says they should be near. I know KBB is over rated, but damn, nearly 3x what they're going for? I'm really think I need to jump on the offer of $8500 while it's available, and ditch this ship before it sinks completely.

How is the tundra big and bulky? It's the same size as it's competitors.
