Well, I still have my Tacoma, but I picked up two 2nd gen 4runners as a project for $300 apiece. So I've stayed in the Toyota family. :D
I'm hoping that I can get my hands on a first gen 4runner and a 79 Yota Pickup, but I would imagine they will be a while down the road yet.

I'll know in the next few weeks what my ride will be for the next decade-plus

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Likely a Miata although with kids and such that's tough to handle. With my work being heavily field/road based likely a hybrid of some sort.

If not a Tacoma and still a truck, today it would have to be a Frontier. I won't get something that isn't a MT. If it wasn't now, I'd wait and see what the Ranger offers (always loved the Rangers I've had in the past). If nothing is offering a MT in a few years, and I need to replace my vehicle, I'll be looking for something used or rebuilding whatever I have at that time.

I wanted a MT, 4X4, and not a double cab. The only choices right now are a RAM 2500 diesel or a Tacoma. The RAM is way too much for what I need. Initially I was set on a Frontier Pro X4 until I found out that Nissan only offers a MT with the crew cab models. This is probably my last chance to get a MT truck (the Ford Ranger apparently will only be offered with automatics and the proposed Jeep pick-up looks to be only a double cab model). I plan to keep the Tacoma as long as possible...

I was torn between Tacoma trd sport double cad and the 4 runner trail, i've try both and decided to choose the Tacoma, but the 4runner was my first choice in the begining.

I would have gotten a slightly used Lexus GX460 for slightly more money. Still capable, and much better value.

Tundra. Used ones , same km, same year as tacos are cheaper. So the fuel argument is ALMOST irrelavent unless its a daily driver. I peddle or train it to work so fuel is not an issue.
I really struggle with the price of tacomas, they are good but not that good...

    all tore up already
Was looking at a mustang gt, miata and tacoma. The build quality of the mustang was garbage and an instant turn off, and i just spent 7 years daily driving a mazda sports car so i went with the tacoma because if i decide a truck isnt for me, it will be an easy sell and i wont lose a ton
