There is quite a bit of information on this thread and it is quite difficult to parse through all of it. I know from experience that there is no definitive answer, but A group like this can typically come up with a list of things y'all have done that you like. No flame wars just suggestions. In this post I'm specifically looking for under body protections. From skid plates to rock sliders. I came from a RZR world, so this is a different animal for me. For example, do most of y'all use steel skid plated or do people use HMW?

If you define how you will use the truck, in what environment, folks will be able to give more precise answers.

I should have been more specific. I do apologize.

Mainly trail riding and medium level rock crawling. Not sure if you're familiar with Windrock, but that's where I put 3,500 miles on my RZR. Not really thinking about much mudding, but will occasionally do it.

Do you get a definitive answer in PM's?

If you go with a 3" lift or higher you start needing to do other things like new UCA, carrier drop, etc ...

Honestly I have never needed more than 2", but I mainly do trails with light crawling. Sliders are must. I found that out after spending $600 to fix body damage. Get a new skid plate, the factory one sucks and is more of a bash plate than anything. Also be careful when you lift the front, you may notice a grinding noise that goes away when you put it in 4wd. There is a needle bearing that likes to go out when you lift, even with a small lift. Anything past a skid plate and sliders is really optional.
