redheads are a little crazy... im one, but i dont ask my bf what he spends his money on... same for him the other way around. we dont have joint accounts. but we do have both our cells on the same plan. we dont even ask each other who's #s either of us are talkin to all the time.

be careful w/ the reverse interrogation. it could get nasty. it does seem stupid that she is constantly askin u about $5 purchases. what's the point of that? u could bring up that if she doesnt stop with all the 24 questions about stupid charges that are obviously stated involving gas station purchases or places familiar then bring up that if she persists that u will have no other choice than to get seperate bank accounts. but then again, she might get more irritated with that later on & ask for your bank acct password and start all over again.

this looks like theres a little trust issue that some others have brought up already. if this is the case than u 2 really need a good sit down and lay it down that there is no reason to not trust u. u have to buy a drink or chips sometimes to hold u over & that is that. there's always the option as stated before that u can just pull out cash when u need it and use it where u are purchasing all these things that she is questioning you about. then again, there comes the question as to "why did u pull $$ out & what did u spend it on?"

that sucks too that she wont even let u go hang with the guys at hooters. hell, i love hooters (well, tits in any aspect for that matter) my bf is on an f150 forum, they go to meets & i always tell him to go do what he wants w/ his friends or whoever bc i go and do what i want when i want. that is an understanding that we have had from the get-go. i guess its all in what u lay down first and foremost in any relationship.

Yea, it just sucks because I'm not. Further, I have a GREAT job... make GREAT money... I come home everyday... I clean the house when she's out hanging with the girls. I'm not ugly (so I've been told)... And I blindly trust her.

Now, that's not to say that when I drive by a Porsche dealer - that I won't look (def. not around her though)... That's just human... But I wouldn't trade my Taco on it... Know what I'm saying?

The way I see it - she's making me pay for a car that I don't have and I'm certainly not driving.


The problem is that she lacks self-esteem I think.

well, if its a self esteem thing, maybe u should start givin her a few more compliments & let her know what she has/does that turns u on... sometimes those little things actually help. guys arent mind readers, neither are we. if u dont say whats on yur mind, then how are we/u to know what to say/do to make the other person feel good?

try that, just dont overdo it. start small & if that dont work, bump it up a notch

 

No actually, it's not what I don't do. She gained about 30lbs after we got married and she beats herself up over it. It's not my fault and I still tell her she is beautiful (because she is). It's in her mind... and until she decides to make a conscience effort to change the way she feels about herself - I am simply just saying words.

 

i dont know how u could put somethin like this to her, but sounds like she needs a little counseling of some sort. weight/self-esteem/trust issues.... thats not a good sign... just bein honest.

Are you Serious? She runs away every month for a weekend with "the girls" and shes giving you crap about going to hooters. Man.. talk things out. but, sure seems to me like there are more to it then just the bank account. but, i dont know you or her. so take what me or anyone here says with a grain of salt. Just talk to her about it. as for the money. My wife and I keep seperate accounts. We divide up the bills based on what we each feel is fair for how much money we each make and whatever is left after we each pay our bills is for us to do with what we want. Not each individual bill but you take the cell she takes the gas bill..

I've got friend with a gf that sounds similar to urs. . . well, slightly. Self-esteem would explain why she's a lil neurotic and fishing through ur posts, invading ur privacy.

I am curious tho, about her monthly excursions with her friends. How much does she spend on these trips? Between travel, entertainment, booze, purchases, etc., how much is she racking up? I tend to be suspicious of people and wonder if she could be hounding you because she wants more money left for her to spend all willy-nilly when shes out and about. Chances are she'd get uppity if u asked to see how much she spent while away, so i'd prolly try and find out myself, discreetly. Doing this implies you don't trust her . . . =p. If you found out she was dropping lots of cash freely, then you might as well throw caution to the wind cuz no matter how tactfully you try and approach her on this, it'll be a disaster.

oh, and listen to Red about not really doing the reverse interrogating. that is unless you're looking to have your girl hound you on the hundreds of dollars ull be investing in aspirin.
