For some reason I don't understand how the whole tire/rim thing works...

I have had my truck for 2 months now and haven't done anything to him but I want bigger tires... what size tires do I have right now? I have a 2011 DC OR. I want bigger (fatter) tires but would that mean I have to get bigger rims? what's the biggest I can go with stock rims?

    Thank You

You can look at your tires to find out what you have now... the size is on the side of the tire. If you have an off road, it's 265/??R16 (don't remember what the middle two numbers are for the off road. You don't necessarily need different rims for a wider tire but there comes a point where wider tires become too wide for a wheel. Are you looking to add overall height also, or just width?

You have 265/70/16's. You can go up to 265/75/16's on stock suspension and stock rims.

Please do a little searching on here. This is a very common topic. Some would say it is the most common topic on this entire site. Those who say that, are correct.
