    Not really. Losing power due to no "backpressure" on a naturally aspirated engine is really a inaccurate oversimplification. It's about the fact that the exhaust travels in pulses and you need to keep the velocity high enough, etc. etc. Just gutting the cat won't make you lose power. If you put a 5" stacks on your n/a engine, then yea you will lose power.

    Yes the 3.4l is very picky about back pressure. You can't open it up too much or you lose power and throttle response.

    yes same stuff. Bad mpgs and power. Not worth it. And yea the noise wouldn't be bad till you had to drive on the highway for like an hour or more.
