I have a 2020 Tacoma SR and was looking to improve the ride. Hammer leaf spring hangers with the stealth HD Toyota u bolt and add a leaf options from Hammer hangers have been strongly recommended as well as upgrading to Bilstein B8 5100 shocks front and rear. Any experience with these recommendations?

What are looking to accomplish? To some folks softer is improved, to others, stiffer is improved.

Looking for softer/smother ride with less rear sway. Have hit some rough patches on rural highways in Wisconsin and almost lost control due to excessive sway. Teeth rattling and probable brain contusions from washboard roads in my area which are not uncommon due to weather and lots of heavy farm equipment

I'd start with a set of Bilstein 5100's or a set of Bilsteins that someone too off a TRD OR and see how you feel then.

Thanks John. Makes sense to start with the shocks and also cheaper. Can get the shocks for about $580, while the complete Hammer Hanger option is about $1200 and removal of the old hangers is not a trivial process. Scott

I went from the stock, mushy, floaty SR5 shocks to 5100's with OME front springs for some lift and a Headstrong Off Road 3 Leaf add a leaf in the back. Truck rides 10 times better on and off road. I bet thar just the shocks will yield similar results.
