Just got my 10k service done and they recommended replacing my in cabin filter.
Does anyone have a recommendation for which one to get?

Order cheapo's from rockauto.com, you can easily do 99% of those maintenance service items.

Was that a joke being charged $60, for something that cost a few dollars to make?

Don't waste your money like I did on the fram fresh breeze filter. They are not in my opinion worth the extra money, I couldn't tell a difference from the cheapo's.

But they are STILL gonna charge a minimum, like 15 minutes at $ 35-$50 per hour...

Agreed I know they are there to make money. It's not my intention to turn this into another dealer bashing thread. I knew I could change the filter I just needed a recommendation on a replacement :)

Straight up! I checked it when I got home to verify it needed changed and I spent more time cleaning everything that fell out up haha.

Yeah, they charge by the rate book, not by real time...most ANY dealer or auto repair place will do it that way...

I think the most difficult part of the process is re-hooking the arm that keep the glove box from opening too much.

No need to disconnect it. The glove box swings down low enough to get the filter in and out!

$69 at my dealership for cabin air filter & $49 for engine air filter. No clue why cabin is more $$.

Perhaps because they have to remove people's shit from the glove box??

    Always done then myself.

There's a thread where a guy shows how he cut a home furnace air filter (panel) into 4 squares and taped up the cut edges, making 4 cabin filters out the panel filter.
Not sure if this is economical compared to other aftermarket filters, but it whips the snot out of the dealer quote. GAH!
