I've tried searching and got no luck with what im looking for exactly. I have a 2015 dcsb Off road edition, it's got 5100s on all 4 corners, ome 885s up front with the billies set at 0 and 1.5" wheelers aal in the rear... and I've got the damn 45-55 mph slight vibrate. I've tried a couple things already to fix it like double checking all the bolt torque specs, and making sure each tire was properly inflated. I also have an ome carrier bearing drop kit in, I don't have shims yet but my axle looks perfectly straight. Any suggestions? If anyone else has this set up and could chime in, I would appreciate it. I still have a couple more things to try before I'm at a total loss. I was going to remove the cb drop, and see if that helped, as well as rotate my tires and 2* shims would be a last resort. I just didn't think I would need any drops or shims if I kept it under 3" of lift. Thanks for your help in advance. Will post an update if I figure out what it is.

balance, alignment, rotate..... just to be safe and eliminate that as an issue.

Could be the drivers side needle bearing in the front diff- it's a known issue, especially when lifted. If you search, you'll find a ton of threads about it. East coast gear supply makes a bushing to replace it that fixes the issue: http://eastcoastgearsupply.com/i-8536125-toyota-8-clamshell-bushing-eliminates-needle-bearing.html. One supposed way to diagnose is by putting it in 4wd and if the vibration goes away then you found the culprit, but I installed the bushing as a preventative when I installed a lift, so I never had to deal with it.

Vibration, like a buzzing in the steering wheel? Or physically shaking things in the interior? Have you tried switching into 4wd around 45mph and see if it stops?

Just got an alignment right after putting in the new coils and aal, it drives straight as can be. I'm gonna try rotating then re balance if that doesn't work. Thanks

Thank you! I'll give it a try in 4wd... so if it doesn't go away in 4wd, does that rule out th needle bearing?

I guess it would be more like physically shaking. It's not terrible, but it's definitely there. Like I can see it shaking my passenger seat and the antenna and my arm when it's resting on the arm rest. Haven't tried 4wd yet. I'll do that next. Thanks

The needle bearing issue shouldnt produce physical shaking, just an audible sound, much like driving on intermittent rumble strips. At least for me it wasnt physical shaking...

I can hear it when it's shaking as well as feel it. I'll have to try 4wd. Thanks

Have you ruled out the wheels/ tires? I had a bad set of bfg tires that were physically out of round. I warrantied them and problem fixed.

Might want to try on a set of different wheels/tires if you have that luxury. Maybe a buddy with a Tacoma can help?

I have thought of that, the vibrations just started shortly after I lifted it half an inch more, and replaced the blocks in the rear with an aal and put the 5100s back to 0 on the front and added ome coils. But, yea I haven't ruled it out yet... could the tires become out of round over time? They're less than a year old but the truck isn't my daily driver so it does sit a bit.

Just tried putting it into 4wd with no change. The vibration is still there. I'm starting to think one of the wheels is out of round or something

Definitely could be tires. Happened on my wife's car and on my work truck. Once I got up to higher speeds had the bad vibrations like you're talking about.

Subscribed. Mine is stock and does the same thing. Dealer was going to perform the TSB, but turned around and told me it didn't apply to 15s. I was then told it was normal.

The same shit everyone else has.
    My thoughts.

    1. Check tire pressure
    2. Rotate tires
    3. Re-balance tires
    4. Bad/damaged tire - bubble/broken cord
    5. Worn out upper strut mount/bushing
    6. ECGS bushing
    7. Bad balljoints
    8. Bad tie rod ends
    9. Bad wheel bearings.

I had a similar issue. It was a combination of things on my truck.

ECGS bushing, un-balanced/worn/cupped tires, and bad wheel bearing.s
