My truck didnt even come with a clock, so I wasn't surprised it didn't have cruise.

My 96 Xtracab didn't come with a clock either. It was actually an option! The wife took my truck to the dealer a few days after I brought it home, and had them install the clock accessory. It was great but after several years, it stopped working. I just never had it fixed/replaced, since I had replaced the OEM radio with one that had a clock on the display.

Hi DWH! I purchased the Rostra kit for my '04 2wd 2.4L Tacoma, and using your EXCELLENT instructions I've already installed all the under-hood equipment. (Will attempt the interior wiring next weekend.) My questions so far are, how much slack should the existing throttle cable have? Mine had about 1/2" up/down movement at the rotating drum at the throttle body (140K miles; probably has never been adjusted). I adjusted it so it's only 1/4" now but I don't know the correct setting. Then how much slack should the Rostra cable & bead chain have? Thanks again. Ken
