Wish I would have saw this 4 months ago. I ended up using some crap I found at Lowes. They work fine just ugly as hell. I may just have to stop by the local dodge dealer this week! .....well there is a first time for everything I guess!

I actually got to retire my 05' Sprinter work van (literally going to metal scrap) and I pulled the D-Rings out not knowing that everyone's buying them now...how ironic is that!

Check it out you can see my 08' in the background! Sorry guys- I have to keep those in for work but when I give up this guy I send a shout out!

I got bored and pulled a bottle opener off of my old pit and mounted it on the driver side bed wall!

What about elongating the mounting hole with a dremel or rat-tail file. I bet 1/8" would make it lay flat.

It's worth a shot. I've never gone back to modify mine.

What about a just right size washer on top of d-ring to give the bolt head clearance to lay flat? No grinding or raw surfaces to repaint.

I added 4 of the Dodge D-rings in the bed today. I elongated the hole about 1/16" to make the bolt head sit flush.

They look great and feel super sturdy.

    Went with this method:

    1) Removed front bed bolt
    2) Ground down one side of the washer with bench grinder
until the washer fit flat against D-Ring
    3) Re-installed

    See attached for completed look.

    Looks great.
I kinda went the other route. I knocked the washer off the bed bolt and put it under the D-ring since I wanted the washer where it was originally.

My new 13 DCSB came with two d-rings in the very back of the bed. Is that standard now?

Yes, and that why a lot of people add at least 2 more to the front screws of the bed....

we'll see how it goes... if it annoys me a lot, then I'll do what another member did here and put something in between the loop to give it some tension...

Thanks for all the good info here. Did the install and it is great having these in the bed. One of the best and cheapest mods to do.

Nice holes in the bed mat. What did you use to make those?

Just did this easy mod today. Put d rings in the floor of the bed towards the cab as well as on the top part of where the bed meets the tailgate. Ready to haul some big loads now. thanks everyone for all the write ups and info. It was super helpful
