The Dodge rings are easier than the military d rings, and even at 13$, remember that they are a permanent addition to your truck. I installed rings in all my bed bolts and along my rails in all three of my tacomas over the years. It's the first mod I do , and I can't imagine hauling loads without them.

Just keep throwin' money at it.
This seems like a great first mod for my 2nd Gen. I think I am going to have to order them off moparparts above. With shipping them come out to around $6.50 not too bad.

Same ones I got. Just installed them. Thought I'd have to drill them out but when I looked at them, they already had a large enough hole.

So this sucks. I ordered a set of 6 rings off eBay. I hate buying from eBay. Never turns out well. Amazon didn't have any so decided to bite the bullet and just do it. Had them shipped to Minnesota since he won't ship to Canada, and I drove down to the USA today for a few parcels. I got the package from him, opened it, and found there was nothing in it. He shipped me nothing. Now I think since I can't get any to Canada I'll just pay the dealer the 25 a piece. Cheaper than leaving the country again. Anyone have any suggestions on where to order these? Current links?

Dang bro! Sorry to hear that...

I know this, double check how many you actually need.

In my 6' foot 2015 bed I really only needed two. The ones aft of the wheel well humps in the bed. The front factory side ones are fine for me, and the rear ones are also fine.

In a DCSB I could see the need for maybe 4 I think.

I went the hard route and drive to a Mercedes dealer and got the ones from the Transport Vans,
They are great and took a while to get because they had to be ordered in a larger amount from Germany. But this was also three years ago.

de-badged, tint front windows, led interior lights, door sill protectors, led b/up lights, 5" factory step rails, yellow turn signal bulbs, added 4 D ring tie downs. Took off the black vinyl stripes between the doors. Changed the grill - from Custom Car Grills, Finally got a tonneau cover put on. 31" light bar ( white & amber ), tailgate light bar, sunvisor covers ( to hide warning labels ), new bedside decals - still too cold to put them on tho. Flag decals to go on too, again too cold still. Got a 2 switch, switch plate to replace that useless cubby hole to the left of the steering wheel.. still to be installed ( hopefully this weekend ). Upgraded the tires to G/Y Duratracs... loving them, no plowing the driveway !!

I just order 2 ( that's all I need ), from a local Chrysler dealer - list price is $11 or $12.00 each, but I got them for 9.60 each. had to order them in, but next day is fine for me, no extra charges to bring them in.
I gave them part# 05104500AA, but the parts guy told me the part# changes up... but I did not get the new part #. I will add it to this thread tomorrow ( or day after ).

Thanks to everyone for the knowledge in this thread.

**EDIT** Here is the new part # for the D rings. 05170492AA - as of Aug.22, 2016.

So I found a tacoma bed mat off craigslist this weekend for $20 and jumped on it. Guy mentioned it had slits in it because his 09 had the D-Rings on the front 4 bolts. Thought that was a great idea so of course I looked it up here. Few questions: So which D-Rings does everybody prefer, the ebay ones or the dodge ones? It appears I should use some rustoleum on the washer/bolts before reinstalling? And is it that easy to hammer the washer off with a socket? Also I saw a couple pictures of using a hole saw to cut the mat, looked like a lot nicer finish, can anyone post more pictures of that route? Thanks!

Do yourself a favor and spend the extra and get the Toyota ones. No extra messing around needed.

Only problem with the Toyota 1's is you have to make the hole bigger. With the Chrysler 1's you don't have to, and they are a beefer d-ring. the part# is 05170492AA. Just ordered 2 more.

So much better having more tie downs in different places.

The army surplus ones are better. They fold over themselves nicely when your not using them

I am looking to have an anchor point to winch in elk. We are often able to get our Elk to the packing plant within an hour of the hunt so we load them whole. Elk body minus guts is usually over 500#. What is the relative strength if I use the OEM D rings? I had seen a thread a while back on putting one on the back wall of the bed (cab) but can't seem to find it now. That mod I would bet takes more work. Thanks in advance
