The picture makes it all quite clear with the Sprinter D-ring. On most Dodge websites the Sprinters are less expensive but the shipping is kind of excessive. I'll go see a local Dodge dealer and see what he has to say...
    Thanks.

Yep, I did think about a bevel and thought I'd ask about the sprinters.
    Thanks.

Nice! I still would suggest spraying PB Blaster religiously every day, a few days before you start. It’ll really make it easier

Here is a link to another thread on Sprinter tie downs. The last post is mine and has pic of the bevel I put on the bed bolts. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2020-tie-downs.700172/ . You'll need to grind the bolts a little bit anyways to get the washers off.

Those bolts were a PIA to get out. Had to heat em up to melt the thread lock.

I have gone through every page of this thread. I'm just curious if the bed bolts go through composite, how are mine rusting? Do they thread into composite but have a metal sleeve at some point? Is there an exploded diagram of what they thread into? 90% of the threads are clean and then a 1cm section in the middle has rust. I have a 2010 ACLB.

There is a metal sleeve/well as you can see here. You’ll see where the end of the bolt threads through if you crawl underneath the bed

The bolts thread through small raised pedestals that have a threaded section in the center. The pedestals also give the bed a level platform because of the shape of the frame. I pulled all six of mine just to make sure they would come out. A red arrow points to one of the pedestals that is partially hidden by the plastic wheel house liner.

So the screw doesn't thread into metal at any point, just passes through a steel collar, that narrows to a sleeve, before threading into the composite of the bed. Correct?

The red arrow in @srspicer ’s pic points to where the bed bolt goes through. The bolt threads into the frame

So is it threaded into the composite bed also, or just the frame?

Just the frame. In my pic, you can see where the metal sleeve is and where the composite ends

Super old post but I have the OEM d rings removed from my bed corners since I added a stiffener which has a bunch of tie points built in. A nylon washer will only rotate by unscrewing the bolt. The torque value is just too high for that thing to work. Oh well I guess they won’t rotate and will permanently stick up above the bed, not that I care since I hardly ever haul anything

How are the rear OEM D-Rings set up? I need to replace mine as they are rusted out.

Looks like the bolt goes through the frame and has a nut behind it -- is there any section of the frame or an insert that is threaded I should know about??

I didn’t take a photo but there’s a lot of hardware to get it spin and give it the right spacing. There’s a spacer, a star washer (to keep it assembled), and I think one more item.

Looked up the bed stiffener I strictions that show it.

If you notice the bolt it has drill bit on the tip that's what gets it into the frame. I added the extra rings maybe a week after I got the truck I would recommend anti seize in case you want to get them out. If you have a long bed a full size pickup tool box will fit in length wise bore a matching hole in the tool box and use one of the long bolts to hold it down lock the tool box and it's going no where.
