Scenario: Pioneer X920BT, SWI-PS, harness adapter, and dash kit.

In looking thru the various install I found that the SWI-PS (rev 1.6.8) will support both the blue tooth phone and voice recognition controls of the HU and available steering wheel controls that can be added.

The install procedures for the SWI/HU involve soldering a resistor to the installation - the value of the which is dependent on if the phone controls are added or not (150 ohm vs 560 ohm).

The question: If I want to install and wire the HU and SWI-PS for the phone controls before I have the steering wheel controls, does anyone here know (or have an opinion) as to if the radio functions would still work until I get the phone/voice controls installed?

It will work fine with the larger resistor soldered in, from what I have heard. I saw that several people just used the larger resistor anyway on avic411.com.

Where are you getting the steering wheel BT switches from?

To many to list here, see my build info on my website.
i did the added controls mod to my z110bt, and they controls came from a 05 4runner, there is a thread on here with the parts you need if you dont already have the second set of controls and the ribbon cable, install is super easy.

Not sure where I'm getting the parts yet - I suspect I'll get them from toyotaworld.com. Really not even sure of the parts to get yet. I've seen a set of parts listed on the 4Runner board, but not sure if those are the same used on the Taco (I suspect they are).

84250-04010-B0 SWITCH AS 1 142.73 <-- Complete set left and right plus ribbon

The ribbon cannot be purchased separately. The 4-runner cable looks the same however and that part number is: 84204-58010
