Mine's a 2nd generation taco... yours is 3rd, I believe; therefore my advice is purely speculative... in the case of 2nd gen, the dealer had a Sirius/XM receiver (and a separate "mounting kit", which contained cables, the antenna, etc.). This made the installation virtually plug n play, once I figured out where (and how) to mount the sat receiver (under my driver seat was best, but anywhere should be ok, as long as the cables all reach).

I would suggest going to the Toyota parts department, and be PERSISTENT. It took me three parts desk guys before one of them knew what the hell he was talking about (the first two actually told me I couldn't add sat radio since I didn't have the JBL/Entune option. BULLSHIT. If necessary, talk to several dealerships.

    Good luck.

    Hey guys
Issues installing an isimple plus sxv300 to add SiriusXM to my stock headunit in a 2013 Tacoma. This is a non JBL unit. It seems to power up just fine and I can hit the SAT tab without issue. I called Sirius and opened my subscription, as I was able to give them the svx300 ID. I am not hearing anything through the speakers after hitting the SAT button. I wanted to ask if the 300 does not work with our trucks for whatever reason? Any ideas why I’m not getting through?
