Is there a way to change the useless instant MPG bar graph in the center info display to a digital display to the tenth of an MPG? I have looked and played with all the settings to no avail.

Good question. On my test drive this past Saturday, thats what I was looking for also. I've become accustomed to it in my wifes Grand Cherokee.

I changed my graph to "trip average" which is digital like "tank average" . Way more useful than the instant graph. Trip average resets everytime you start the truck, useful to compare to the tank average (to me anyways lol)

Same. I don't see much advantage to a precise digital read out of exact mpg. Do you really care if you are getting 99.9 MPG downhill? The moving bar that it has is enough to know whether you are getting good mileage in that instant. Trip average is the most useful one.

Easy answer here: A digital value is always more useful when trying to measure a variable like mpg. For instance, you already know what your instant mpg is on a given stretch of highway, and you have a new canopy, larger tires/wheels, engine tuning package, etc. put on your truck. So you then drive it on the same stretch of highway, assuming you can replicate as many other variables as possible, and compare. I have Scangage II on my 2008 Tacoma, and it has that feature among others. Trip and tank economies are great, just like to see accurate instant data.

The vehicle electronics used today process so much information these days, unfortunately the manufacturers only make a fraction of it available to drivers via driver information systems as stock. I want more. Hey Toyota, how about a digital battery voltage display to the 10th of a volt to start with? Or transmission oil temps. I'd even trade you all the useless apps in the info-tainment for better vehicle information.

My MPG graph appears in split screen with the Radio options on the big screen... a second tap on the audio button gets channel buttons full screen. How can I delete the MPG graph from popping up on the BIG SCREEN? 2020 Tacoma
