Does the sound of a catback exhaust get impacted at all by what kind of intake you have?

In other words, could the drone my Magnaflow produces go away if I swap out my K&N intake for something else?

There is an entire engine block in between the flow of gases, but I had to ask before I start dismantling my intake.

TRD skid painted black,

My TRD intake howls at wide open throttle and is quiet at no to 3/4 throttle.
New air box and big filter will ad noise, just a filter in the stock box probably not

Thanks. I don't know if I'm happy with this answer or not lol:

It saved me from experimenting with different intakes - or even put the stock box back in, but it also indicates my Magnaflow is just not going to sound the way I want it to.
