If anyone is in western NC, Asheville area that wants to go get a dyno done, I am game. I have a shop we can go to, a prototype made, just need the test true k. I'm having a bit of a problem getting a test truck. Can't seem to get a hold of the one guy, and the other guys schedule keeps conflicting.

I am planning on coming down first weekend of June for my nieces graduation in western NC. Was planning on taking the wifes pilot but maybe I could bring the truck instead. But I have AFE CAI and TRD exhaust. I am guessing that would probably change the #s a bit.

As long as you have a before and after, you "should" still see a difference in gain. Do it.

If there is anyone in Houston that has a stock or very lightly modified 1gr, I will pay to have it dyno'd before and after. It must be a manual.

Well we are really looking for before and after numbers, so it shouldn't make a difference, though people still may gripe.

I'll talk to the wife and see if its an option. We'll have the kids with us so she may not want to take the truck. It doesn't have all the creature comforts of her pilot, and it about 10 times more noise on the road.

I'm more interested in it being a manual to see what happens in the lower RPMs. Everyone always claims that CAI's don't do anything for performance anyways so no one should have any gripes

All the dynos I have used in the past, the lowest you could get a read was between 100, and 1200 RPM. Any lower, and it would want to stall out the vehicle.

No more mud flaps, Temp gauge inside intake box, BHLM, extra D-rings in front of bed, No more plastic storage box behind rear seats. More to come.
Majority of people interested in this will likely have an aftermarket intake and possibly some kind of exhaust already, so these would be good to see on the dyno. Also a before and after of the manifold spacer is still isolating that mod.

Not necessarily... If someone is looking for low RPM power gains, power in the cruising range, they most likely would not have a CAI for that purpose. It'd still be good to see the before/after results though.

Please make sure you start at low RPMs in a manual Taco, anything else is a waste as you are out of the most used RPM range...I am interested pending results...

It will be started at as low an rpm as possible, without stalling. That will be somewhere around 1000+

Well, sadly to say. I need a new test truck. Any body on the northwest side of Houston willing?

Go to a local dealership, tell them you're interested in purchasing, ask if you can keep it overnight... :drevil: Just kidding of course. I wouldn't do that.

I'm thinking because of all the crap we'll be hauling down to NC in June we are going to have to take the wifes pilot. The baby is only 7 months or I would just drive down in separate cars but he is going to be a handful for the whole drive so it'll take two of us to keep him busy and us sane.

OP if you are still looking for a candidate in July maybe I can take a long weekend and drive down. June will be a verrrry busy month for me, pending we can close on the house we are trying to buy. If it falls through, well June won't be so busy of a month for me.
