No, those were posted previously but the same comments apply. They need to be done with a manual to show what happens below 3k RPMs. This is a low end torque mod so while obviously you don't want to lose top end, the gains people are looking for are under the starting point for that dyno.

Completely, absolutely not. I was trying to justify a spacer in my mind back when NST was the only one doing this for the 4.0. But my problem then, as now, is that I haven't seen a good set of numbers that start below 3k rpm. 90%+ of my driving is below 3k, I needs ta no, no whud I mean?

not many Dyno's are used below 3K btw, most dyno manufacturer's operational protocols are 3K and go WOT from there.

dyno's also can't produce wind resistance and changes in road grade inclines/declines.

cruising on flat ground at 35-40mph at 1000rpms was not possible for me before the spacer either.

Suppose I could take video of a drive showing tach,ultra-gauge with and without the spacer...but would need some substantial motivation...

Interesting. My truck will be between 1100-1200 at those speeds. 32" tires and no extra weight.

Those have nothing to do with how much power goes to the rear wheels. To add, all the dynos I have used, have run from 1500 rpm, and up. I don't think I have ever seen a dyno that starts at 3k RPM.

Anyone have a write up on what it takes to install one of these? Curious how difficult it is?

Very easy. Remove intake mani Allen-Head bolts (6) and remove necessary stuff to lift off mani. I have it, love the improved throttle response and did it in an hour.

Do all the support brackets fit after the intake being raised? Or do those need to be modified?

Just through mine in this morning. Pretty easy, gotta notch the support brackets. Same thing, about an hour. So far seems like no more low speed lugging, need some dry pavement or deep snow to really try it out.

Yes sorry you just notch the brackets with a dremel and they are reused.

I've seen a few dyno runs that "started" at 3k, only due to not being able to lock the tranny/converter. By started I mean they where taken to 3k then went wot, anything under and you down shift or the conv. flashes- false numbers.

The results are in! Positive results! Do not misinterpret the Max HP/Torque, these spacers are not designed for max power up high. You need to look at the results in the 1500-4000 ranges. The Dyno was a Mustang Dynamometer.

Two very nice members donated time and drove here from 2 hours+ away each to dyno their trucks today. 1. 2005 Manual Shift Tacoma, and 2. Automatic 2011 Tacoma. (correct me if I'm wrong on that guys) We ran both trucks with a spacer, and without a spacer. Both showed gains. Like I stated first, we are not going for numbers up high in the RPM range but in the low/midrange useable power range. Here are a couple pics, vids, and of course dynos!
