Sounds like that was a controlled test though, not actually wheeling. Still watching.:spy:

I shoved my truck in a ditch yesterday, to flex out the suspension in a more "real world" application. Also needed to take some other measurements and look @ everything.

Looked great, but my dang shocks need to go ASAP! Really limited by them now as far as extension. I can't really do any serious wheelin until I get new shocks & brake lines.

Any idea how much more droop you would get over stock if the shocks were sized correctly?

Unfortunately until we get the shocks and brake lines sorted, I'm not going wheelin :(

I don't have actual numbers, but the pics I posted are before and after show how much more droop...

He will need to test it out before ordering shocks anyway so I say do it ASAP...

Disconnect the brake hard line bolts and the shock bottom and lets see some real world flex pics

Yea, I'm the derp who didn't state any dimensions gained or that the rear shock was disconnected in the pics

    Please

Why would you do all that and not measure? How are you going to order shocks? Do it all over again?

If and when i get my set on I'll post pics too, awaiting confirmation of my set. (Still means few weeks till on)

I have extended brake lines and the extended 5100s
(Extended Length: 27.28", Collapsed Length: 16.34"= 10.94" TRAVEL)

Seems like If I plan on doing a shock hoop or a ford hoop mod, that I will need even longer shocks to allow more downtravel since the all pros I have should be getting almost 27" extended right now....

I don't have the measurements. I never said they weren't taken...

So the angle of my pics aren't perfectly level... Sorry?

Why would that even matter? lol. Please don't come in here to just start chit...

I dont think anybody is trying to start chit really.

This product looks like it has potential. fabjunkie would like to sell this product. Some folks would like to buy this product. However some people would like details before buying.

As Kevin from ATO, and Mike from defined (both fabbers who build products) pointed out, this is a tricky part to get right. Some people don't like being the guinea pig especially when they could end up with a couple 200 dollar paperweights and truck that now needs to be fixed.

I think there is just a bit of frustration that the part has now been installed but the questions remain.

This is the problem with making an announcement about a product that isnt out yet. You end up with a whole bunch of people who start getting frustrated at the wait and even more frustrated when information and details are somewhat slow coming in.

Its nothing personal I'm sure. We will just have to wait and see.:)

hell my shackle bushings have so much play when I stuff one rear wheel and droop the other, the shackle hits my frame :anonymous:

Im just gonna throw some Delrin bushings on her and call it done. Wheeled her hard for over a year and the only problem so far is scratched paint off the frame.

None of that was directed at you. More details will come in time, but like you said people are frustrated because they don't have all the details they want right now.

Well the product isn't exactly for sale yet folks, so take a deep breath and be patient. fabjunkie (and me) would really like this all to be right (since it is on my personal DD...) before it goes on sale.

Did some work today, and I think we figured out what shocks I'm going to run. 's which are for 4-5" lift guys. This will get me a longer extended length, but it looks like I'll have to adjust the bumpstops carefully to make sure I don't compress the shocks too much. But look @ the size difference - 14.02" x 22.94" vs 16.34" X 27.28"!

More pics with shocks disconnected. Went to this same place the other day with the shocks connected, it was MUCH harder to get the rear wheel off the ground. I really had to work at it, while before it was really easy! As always, click on any picture to get a big version.

Nice pictures but it would be nice to show how the shackle is working. It makes a big difference on the angle of the shackle and pics would be nice.
