Here a couple pics of the shackle angles to go with the pics above. There are so many options for mounting the hangers/shackles, everyone is going to have to try different settings to see what they like. With the stock shackles, there are five mounting options. I'll get pics of all three when we get the production model on. Pics below are with the shackle sitting at ~3* at ride height. This gave the best ride with the most shackle movement throughout the articulation range.

Using longer shackles (XJ or drop Chevy) opens a lot more mounting options.

Just an FYI... Those are far from ideal shackle angles in those pics.

IIRC they should be at 45 degrees at ride height, at least thats what the LT folks say :notsure:

Perhaps it's not clear, but those shackle angles fabjunkie posted are from the exact same pics I posted. So right wheel stuffed, left drooped... Not ride height!

I'd like to hear what Fire931 thinks about it tho - perhaps he was thinking the shackles were at ride height too?

also, IIRC, if you are using stock length leaf packs, then the distance between the front hangar and the rear shackle pivot should NOT change.

just basing off what I read about certain deaver leaf packs need to have the hangars a specific distance apart from each other. The length of the shackles dont matter, but the shackle pivot and front hanger need to be a specific distance. Whether or not that means the same with stock springs, i am not sure, but i dont see what that would change.

the shackle is suppose to be perpendicular to the frame at full droop or even a little less angle to prevent shackle reversal

If you move the shackle to the furthest forward hole it should fix it

Well looks like it has 3 holes of adjustment in the dirrection you all recommend, one over at the top, and two at the bottom. So it's cool? What leafs are used in the pictures? I have 3" All pro leafs....wonder if it's be same hole settings

Looks like the stock shackle it kinda short, I might just upgrade to 1" lift ones for my set....might as well have zerks too.

Leafs in the pics are TSB w/ Wheeler's 3-leaf AAL w/ the overload still in.

The length of the stock shackle is somewhat of a design constraint. Like I said, going to a longer shackle opens up more options for mounting. Other than XJ shackles, Chevy shackles will work also, as long as they are for the 3" wide spring, not the 2.5". I have some stock Chevy shackles here that are 7/8" longer than the stock Tacoma. They also provide a little more clearance. That would be another option with minimal lift.

You guy's have a great product and glad to see you working to get it right. The combination of holes is going to make it really easy for someone to use with any combo.
Here is a pic of Expo springs 1" XJ shackle at rest
