Here's some pics with the stock shackle and the stock Chevy shackle at rest mounted in two of the mounting holes. These do not include moving the hanger on the frame which will provide an additional spot between these (which would put the angle right between these two pics) as well as just outside them. There's so many different ways to mount them.

We got ~5/8" on this truck. It will change a little depending on where you mount everything. We left it in the forward hole at this point and he's happy with it.

Your going to release these after a couple hours wheeling hu?
IMO after all this wait wouldn't it be better to fully test them before releasing them to the market? Say give a couple local guys a discount and have them test them out so you can inspect them?

I have recently seen some fabricators on TW selling products very similar to other trail tested products for much cheaper because they never tested them or did any R&D. I have also seen those "new" products fail on the first use. A little R&D goes a long way IMO.

There's more than "a couple hours wheeling" testing that has been done on these. Including the prototype, there's been a month on the road and a few wheeling trips. I've got over 135 hours in CAD alone, not to mention probably 10+ hours trying different mounting options. I've done my R&D. If you can competently bolt stuff together, these won't fail.

I like your design and I'm sure you did plenty of R&D up front.

I'm just saying I like the thing that holds the axle to my truck and carries the ones I love to be trail tested in real life for more then a couple days. Hell from a liability standpoint I would think you would as well. While I'm sure the flip kit won't fall apart what happens to the frame and truck it's mounted to? Anyone top out the shackle yet? Anyone try going in reverse on rocks? I just watched my buddy test, test, and re-test his custom flip kit until he got it just right and in the end he needed boomerang shackles to do so.

Fair enough, but the frame and the truck? Really? This mounts the same as the factory hanger with bigger hardware. The bolts have far more clamping load area than the factory rivets. As for the rest of your concerns, that's what the adjust-ability is there for. Once set up for a particular application, it's going to act like any shackle mounted in that orientation.

I saw a race truck do almost an entire 50+ miles lap before realizing that the rear eyelets of both his leaf springs had crumpled and broken, destroying his rear shackles and sticking the rear of his leaf pack up into his spares and around his frame. Truck didnt flip or anything. It is the front spring hangers that are most important and dangerous. If the shackles fall off or break, the axle will still be kept in place :D

not saying i would like that to happen, but i dont think it will be as bad as the front hanger breaking. That's why leaf pack manufacturers only military wrap the front eyelets.

    Just my $.02

The only thing I can see having ANY potential to fail is the shackle itself but I doubt that is going to occur out of the blue. A quick periodic check of the shackles should provide you a clue if there is anything abnormal going on. If there is you may need to use another adjustment but aside from that the mount itself is just a piece of metal and it appears to be much stronger than stock.

As with anything else, if you don't feel comfortable with it, you shouldn't buy it but that comfort level is going to be up to the individual consumer.

    Winner, winner, chicken dinner...

This should be done on everything regardless of if it's factory or aftermarket. Especially before doing any wheeling.

I like the bracket but the pictures do nothing in the way of droop if the shackle is straight up.

Well personally I am looking forward to the install on my truck here soon. This product is nothing but beef. If anything it will help strengthen the rear of my frame a bit. It is still a non-stock piece being added to my truck. I will have to take responsibility for that and make sure I am safe on the road or off. Just as I do with any lift kit, tire and wheel combo, brake upgrades, or SAS upgrade ( I wish :D) that I have.

I know the creator and his background and have confidence in him and this product. That may not mean much to anyone inquiring about this product but I need to put my 2 cents out there.

    Thanks.

This picture was taken with the shackles straight up at ride height.

You are trying to sell a product which I think is very good but trying to tell me a shackle at 90 degrees will add movement you are selling your product short. Get some pictures that show your product to give it the best for ride and droop. Throw it on the computer and come back and tell me a shackle at 45 degrees is not better for you product.
