longer shackle will make the leaf pack lower (farther away from the frame/truck) when fully flattened, so there is more uptravel after the leaf pack is fully flattened with a longer shackle than there is with a stock length shackle.

If the leaf pack is fully flattened, and there is still more uptravel left in the shocks, and the shackle still has more room to move before hitting anything, the upper pivot (bracket) can be moved forwards so the shackle can move more upwards, moving the whole leaf pack upwards, which takes care of that wasted uptravel.

Deaver and Alcan make "flat" springs for our trucks. I seen lots of bad reviews for not enough lift or flat springs.

This kit isn't going to fix that.

Of course it wont do anything to fix your springs, its not designed to, but it can be a part of additional lift.

A small handful of select mods.
I think I may have missed this somewhere along the way but what is the 45 degrees being measured from? Shackle mount or spring eyelit? Or both? It appears that common opinion on this thread is that 45 degrees is the "sweet" spot but just didn't know from what end.
