I will most likely go this route as well, though I have standard pack. Already have these bumps too, so I'd only need shock hoop and the shackle flip. Don't know if my 11" 5100s would sufficient, I'd swap them if need be. Count me in for shackle flip for sure if proto works....

The bump would be more impressive if your truck was flexed out on that buffalo with the shackle flip installed:D

Any updates on the proto install?

Hm just confirmed with local dealer that these are $19 bux each. A lot cheaper than hoops, but I noticed these are normally mounted perpendicular to frame.

If used, would these have to be at an angle like the stock rear stem mount? In that case would they need to be gusseted like front coil buckets? Or just sandwhich bolted to frame? (need to gusset the frame).

X2 these would have to be side-mounted to the frame, with extra supports and gussets. Completely do-able tho

Yes these would mount to the side of the frame. No additional gusseting needed. When I used them I welded them on with rosette's in the bolt holes and down the sides. I've seen LOTS of guys just bolt them on. I've yet to see anyone have an issue with them. Just figure out where they need to be, mark holes, drill holes, bolt on or just weld it up. I'll check this weekend how much room is there for them. With the pic of the hoop above, I'm thinking they would work fine.

The shackle flip will bolt directly into the frame? Or will drilling be required?

Looks like it will fit from the pics and measurements.. Were you saying it has to be mounted on it's side? Since the eyelet mount is oriented for pivoting outwards (which is not the motion of our shocks) it would cause the top eyelet mount of the ford bracket to bend right? I believe both eyelets need to have its poivoting axis parallel with the driveline.

I guess if it fit and mounted completely vertical it could work? Unless a 90 degree eyelet converter is out there too....

You have to drill the factory holes out a little bigger. Other than that, bolt on.

The importance of the eyelet orientation is going to vary depending on the angle of the shock compared to axle travel. I'll look closer at it when we install the prototype this weekend.

I'm interested, but I have the all pro exped leaf pack and I've got all the lift I want in the back already. Any chance the shackle flip kit could be installed without resulting in any additional lift? I could probably tolerate a 1/4 inch, but I really don't need the rear end any higher than it already is, 0 inches of additional lift would be ideal for me.

As was stated previously, if you re-use the stock shackles you'll get about 0" of lift. You can probably get 1" of lift if you went with some aftermarket shackles...

I thought I had read 0.5 inches of lift with stock, but it all seemed pretty speculative and unconfirmed.

if it's closer to 0, I'm definitely interested.

Ideally, i'd love to get aftermarket greasable shackles with 0 inches of lift.

I don't think anyone will know for sure until it's actually on a vehicle. With that said, most aftermarket shackles (from my understanding) will provide some lift. Not sure if you can get a greasable shackle that doesn't provide any lift...
