Well we're I live in Alberta a good foot of snow has fallen and other foot to be expected by tomorrow. Owning a tacoma with the best snow and mud tires I could get I wasn't worried about driving. On the way back from the vets I seem a girl im a cobalt slide into the ditch. So I pulled over to help her. She was rather cute and almost my age. So after pulling her out she made me get her number. So Tacoma helped me meet a cute girl.

Then about 10 minutes later I'm driving home and a train is coming the guy in front of me slide into the tracks and took the train into the driver side of the vehicle. I hit my hazards jumped out. Called 911 and rushed to his truck a good 100 feet from where he got hit. I was first on seen the man was older in his 80's. He wasn't conscience no breathing no pulse couldn't get him out to perfor
CPR. No one else in the vehicle except his dog which w as also killed. RCMP and medics and fire rescue was dispatched they were all on scene with in 7 minutes.
Now here is were the tacoma came in. No tow trucks all were busy. Cop asked me to pull his vehicle off the tracks after they did all the reports. Truck did good pulled it off

After leaving the scene and getting back on my way home a ford expedition slides through an intersection and takes out a light pole. So once again 911 everybody was okay cops showed up did a report notified the power company and got a crew out to replace it. And again I had to pull this guys vehicle out of the ditch.

Anyways interesting day still trying to process what all Happened rip to the older gentleman and his dog could have been me. Wasn't the first crash scene I've been to with a fatality so not too shocking but still Hurt too see that happen!

OP is why I am glad I live in the south. The hurricanes might be fierce, but at least we don't get it but once every few years. Snow sucks.

Haha ye. Snow can be dangerous. I'm the kind of person that thrives in it though. Not much I can think of that's more fun the. Playing in the snow. We get tornadoes usually one bad one every 10 years other then that no other disasters except forest fires

Last year slave lake a town of 10,000 in northern Alberta almost burnt to the ground. I'm a volunteer with aema so I got called and drove my truck 400 km from my work site to help respond cool experience but heart wrenching to watch an entire town burn to the ground

Great on you for helping out so much!

That sequence of events could make a Tacoma TV Commercial. Preferably, the old guy and dog would've survived though. That had to be tough to be the first responder on that.

Great job op! Living in CO I've seen my fair share of lousy drivers or those who panic when it snows.

Wow, that is an interesting day. Just one of the incidents was enough to make an interesting day, but all 3 of them has got to be very rare unless you're in the business and taking calls for it.

I'd always imagined when I had my first 4x4 of rescuing a damsel in distress. Never happened. But I'm married now so it better not happen now.

Ye I'm scared to drive now all this stuff keeps happening around me. I've pulled lots of people out but not three consecutively like that. Guy with the expedition gave me 60 bucks to pull him out I was willing to do it free but he insisted haha

No pics of the girl however the local paper was out taking pics of everything hopefully they got a pic of my truck peeling it off the tracks I wanes to get pictures but with the situation at hand I wasn't able to
