what blows my mind is people wait till december to put winter tires on and winter is fair game after mid october. So many people seem to forget that winter happens 6 months out of the year here.

It's people like the OP who I would wish that would stop for me if I needed it. I congratulate the OP for doing what he did. It's too bad he wasn't able to save the older fellow in the truck. Everything does happen for a reason.

A year and a half ago I was driving to work at a women was coming east on a two lane road and crossed in front of me(dump truck tried to go into her lane and pushed her across the median in front of me). I had enough time to stop. I parked about 2 blocks down the road when it was safe to do so. I ran back to make sure that she was okay. In the time that I had seen her cross in front of me and get to her to make sure she was okay(she was just shaken up). I was the only person who stopped. I had called 911 and waited for emergency to arrive(there in a matter of minutes). Even though I was late for work(which I didn't care). I was more pissed off that no one else stopped. The women and the police thanked me and then I was on my way to work.

So my pledge to everyone on this board. If you ever seen someone in an accident, if you think they are alive, injured etc. please stop.

I have a brand new tow rope not sure the brand rated for heavy duty use. The expedition had tow hooks on the rear so did ye cobalt which surprised me didn't think it would. And the suv that got hit I just hooked on to the exposed Frame in the front only has to pull it a few feet so the train could get going

This inspired me to stop this evening for a car off the road... couldn't get enough traction to pull them out though roads were to slick.

Believe me man I wish I had gotten some. But in an emergency situation you dot think about it till after. I'm getting a dash mounted camera so of anything like this happens again I'll. Catch it
