4 hours of patience since this was my first time soldering. But was cheap to do.

The blue helps me for night time driving. And it pops out for me and helps me not get drivers fatigue as badly.

I cannot (or more correctly am not supposed to) drive at night because my night vision is shot. I got my Tacoma on October 24 last year and come to think of it I do not believe I have driven it at night...

I believe red is "supposed " to be the ideal color for our eyes at night. It doesnt affect our night vision, helping us transition from shadows to lowblight easily. I could be wrong. I had done this to my tundra years ago. All red dash and interior as 99.99% of my time in tge truck was deom 9pm-5am

This is correct. If you look at the spectrum I posted above you can see that red is also on of the colors that our eyes are relatively insensitive to. So when used as a general illumination our pupils open wide to see anything, when you transition from the "red" environment to low level general lighting (i.e. nighttime) you are not blinded as you would be going when going out from a normally white lighted room.

It also does not have the focusing problems (blue light scatters within our eyes) associated with blue light.

Thats a pretty cool chart. I've been putting red interior lights in all of my cars for a while now. I do a lot of driving at night and the red light is less as harsh on the eyes if you or passenger need to look in the glovebox or something. Just recently I put LED interior lights in the truck, bright white for the dome light and red for the map lights. Unfortunately the red led map lights are blinding because of how bright the LEDs are and i'll be buying the standard red halogen bulbs to replace them.

Also I wanted to contribute my other most recent interior mods. This truck has a lot of creaking noises from the plastic interior pieces rubbing together over bumps. I found that the center shifter console made the most noise, so I have been fixing them by putting "peel & stick" felt on any plastic mating surfaces. I also have been putting the felt on all of the cup holders and storage compartments so your items dont make noise as they slide around and hit the cheap plastic. I'll post pictures of this later.

Here's my thread on how I fixed the center console creaking with pictures and video of the noise. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/shifter-console-creaking-noise-and-buzzing-noise.490483/

Also did the access cab dog platform mod and removed one rear seat so he gets more room:
