30,330 miles on my 2004 pre-runner and the steering u-joint goes out???? No way...I called Toyoya Customer Care for help. Supposed to let me know Monday if they are going to help me out. Heck, the darn part alone is $400.00!!!!! & not available aftermarket of course.

    More later.

well once the steering column was apart...they found more damage due to the bad intermediate u-joint. All said and done= $1,200.00:eek:. Toyota Corp agreed to cover parts and dealer gave me 20% of labor..still cost 5 bills. Oh ya, included alignment.
