I personaly added Variable Speed Wipers today 2/26 (a joke that it is not a Standard Option in my humble opinion My 94 has it) and Winter floor mats
Shortly after picking up my brand new 2009 Tacoma last Jan 16th it started to Snow. A very light snow. As I was getting to know my new truck I could not help but think about my 1994 4x4 Toyota Pickup that had serverd me so well for the past 15 yrs. Having been in countless identical weather situations my first impulse, when the light snow began to accumulate on my very new and clear windshield, was to activate my intermintent wipers....
As I went through the instinctive motion to activate a long delay wiper setting I realized that my new Tacoma did not have this feature.
I just assumed it would be standard equipment...

    MY BAD.

I would have needed to purchase the SR5 Package for about another $2500 to get the IW option.
Well if anyone else is in the same situation as I was here is some good news.

All you need to do is order an Intermintent Switch from the dealer. $130
This is the "Stick" on the right side of steering wheel. To replace Simply unscrew the 2 screws on either side of the steering wheel (Head on view) then remove the top and bottom plastic housing.
Swap out the stick re-attach connections and you are good to go.
    Hope this helps somebody!
