I bought a 2001 4x4 tacoma 2 door base model (with auto transmission, a unicorn!) for my wife to make dump and landscaping runs. Got lucky: found one with no rust or dents, not violated in anyway, 190K miles from the desert of eastern Washington for $6000.

Since it did not come with intermittent wipers and I live in the Pacific Northwest, I've been searching the internet for options to upgrade.
Did it this morning in about 10 minutes and can confirm that the intermittent wipers for Camry or Lexus ES300 will plug and play. (when reassembling the steering column cover in my truck, it helped to snap the top on first, then replace the bottom. Took me another 10 to figure that tidbit out. Oh, and on a base model without adjustable steering column, there are the usual two screws behind the wheel, and a hidden third under the bottom cover).
I got the wiper stalk from ebay (here's the link to the one I bought, but there are plenty of others: https://www.ebay.com/itm/254354240967) for $50.00.

Next project is adding power windows and locks from A1 electric. I've read some success stories on TacomaWorld with this project, and will see if I have the same luck.
