Maybe we can find a link if everyone who is having, or not having this issue post their FW versions.

I'm having the same issues after updating, except mine does it every 20-30 secs without phone calls or music playing. As long as the bluetooth is connected to the HU it would crash. I ended up having to forget the device on my phone and just play music through usb to "fix" the problem.

The only odd behavior I've experienced with iOS 11 is today during lunch. Hoped in the truck to drive back to work and the radio kept calling my phone. I rebooted the radio and it immediately started calling my phone so the only option I had was to simply turn my phone off - I could have turned off the bluetooth but turning the phone off was easier at that moment. I'll recheck it once i leave work in the next hour.

Shoot, I didn't even make it to the truck with my phone. Downloaded 11 yesterday and all of a sudden my phone has no signal and is constantly "searching". Major problems with this version...

Dear TW Eds: This thread should be a sticky until the problem is resolved.

My company sent us an email warning us not to download iOS 11 until Apple fixes the bugs.

    In progress.... And getting better!
The issue I’m having was there before the IOS 11 update. When I plug my iPhone 6 into the USB cable, I get a connection error message that says to see owner’s manual for proper connection. Then the HU goes back into the screen where you choose your phone, Bluetooth, radio, etc. This was occurring before and went away after I had the dealership update the HU back in June, but has now returned again. Any thoughts out there in internetlandia?

Also noticed a sharp uptick in head unit reboots w/ iOS 11.
I was in all of the public betas and did not have any major issues until the past week or two (final beta and GM build i think).

Interesting thread. I updated my iPhone6 to iOS 11 and so far no issues at all with my JBL Entune. I've used: FM Radio, Pandora, USB audio, read TXTs, initiated voice command and searches, made and received phone calls.

This is interesting...because on dev beta the reboots were bad in beta 1-4, then they went away 5-7, and then came back and persisted through release.

My only logical idea is that it's something to do with a new or updated bluetooth protocol, but I am not sure what they changed.

This is why I NEVER update when it first comes out. I give it several months.

Not always the best idea. Security is a big concern and massive security gaps are usually filled in updates. Unfortunate that it comes at the price of usability though.

Yeah there's def pros and cons of upgrading/not upgrading. I usually follow what my employer IT dept tells us to do. I cant update my work iPhone until IT tells us to so I usually just upgrade both phones when they say it's safe

I installed 11.0.1 last night. We’ll see if that helps.

    None as of yet
New iOS11 update today, wonder if this will solve the issue.

I have the 8 Plus that came loaded with iOS 11, but haven't noticed any connection issue. I also haven't driven long enough to receive 3-4 calls to notice the issues.

The Qi charger in the truck works for the 8 too which is cool!
