iOS 11 & Entune (Do not Disturb while driving)

OK, so it's not just me! I am guessing that they implemented another BT profile... maybe improved PBAP (Phone Book Access Profile)? That could explain it.

That must be, because it wasn't like that before. Now I will have to see if a contact photo shows up when I make a call as well.

 

It will, that's how I first noticed the change. My wife called me and her contact info appeared on the screen, and I was like, whoa, check that out.

 

Well then, I may have to change some of the profile pics then to make it a little more interesting for when I get some phone calls. This could get fun especially when the wife is with me in the truck.

 

Not saying this will correct you issue, but every IOS update basically requires you to restart from scratch. Happens to countless customers of mine, and 75% of the time this corrects the issue every time.
Delete the truck from the phone and phone from the truck, then pair them up again. I’m 60% sure it will work.

Also verify you’re on the latest radio software version(something a toyota tech can assist with)
I’m at least 53% sure this could correct it, maybe.
That being said, a new IOS could spawn new issues that both or either Apple and Toyota(Panasonic, actually) have to address..

Alright so I enabled “automatically” and it still isn’t working. It’s supposed to work based off of motion.

Mine is still working just fine.

 

Updated iOS 11 and now my phone keeps freezing and doing weird things.

I plug my phone in via usb all the time for music and now its giving me errors and I have to hard reset my phone to make it work again.

 

If you choose to unlock your phone while this mode is on, it'll give a pop-up that you can select that says "I'm not driving." Found this out while my wife DD'd for me.

 

Oddly, mine shows the profile picture of one particular contact, no matter who is calling.
