I have a ton of complaints about the new update. I should have waited. My camera takes forever to open. Sometimes my text messages don't show the persons name up top. On and on. Is your guy's phones doing the same? How long til they come out with 4.1 or whatever to fix some of this stuff?

Yeah I've noticed apps have slowed down quite a bit since I updated on my 3G.

I even tried rebooting it. Didn't help any. I really like it when it works but dang. I might go back to the previous version.

I sure do. It seems like it takes forever for apps to load and some of them just freeze up and dont work all together

its probably because the Iphone 4 was made with that software, while the 3G 3GS they had a completely different software and had to download new software from the internet, so some stuff will not work right or be complete

I would say 4.0 wasn't designed for the 3G but rather the 3GS.

I've noticed this too when trying to open apps on my 3G. Super slow! I'm downgrading tonight.

Looks like it's half and half. Hopefully a new version will be available in a few months.

I jailbroke my iPhone to see if it helped... Some of the apps opened quicker but the camera never opens, texts and iPod take FOREVER to open up. Some apps will try to open and then fail.

iOS4 for the 3G is a total failure... You can tell Apple is about to give up support for the 3G here soon.

I feel sorry for you 3G guys. Seems you have it worse than us 3GS peeps.

I had to jailbreak my 3G just to get multitasking, i think folders, home and lock screen, and to get 2nd party apps running properly..

It freezes up like crazy too. I hope they get a new update out soon... My contract is almost up so I might just go ahead and get an iPhone 4.

    And yet we lost MMS....??!?!?!?!??!?!

iOS 4 was not designed for the 3G model, hence why they didn't give you guys all of the features. So don't be surprised if it acts up. I would not recommend upgrading it to iOS 4 until you have a 3G S or a 4.

Actually when I got a different Theme from Cydia, my iPhone is running alot smoother now. Its weird. I guess little less to load?

I'll just tolerate it until I can get the iPhone 4

I have both the new iPhone 4 and 3G. No problems here. The 3G was already too slow for me so it didn't make a difference.
