I went today and lookes at my three choices. I narrowed it down to the Motorolla and the Samsung. Both phones seem very capable.

I did decide to pick up a free Samsung Galaxy Stellar for my wife when I port her number over and keep my DroidX as a backup phone incase one of the other phones break out of warrenty. No need to purchase overpriced insurance that way.

I'm in the same boat but I think I'm leaning towards the Maxx HD. For those that said they would stay away from Motorolla - can you explain? Never had anything motorola, only samsung and HTC.

My droid X was pretty finicky. Don't know how newer Motorola phones are. I've had no issues with my Galaxy Nexus so I'll probably look at Samsung again when I get a new phone.

Motorola is the worst phone manufacture out to date. Great hardware, blur fucks everything up. The only phone Motorola ever got right was the Startac and that was in 1996.

My MAXX HD is doing really good so far. Its the fastest phone Ive ever had. GPS locks on in about 1 second. I downloaded half the 2005 FSM on it in about 5 mins. the slowest part of downloading is your fingers. As soon as I clicked on "download", it said "Download complete". I couldnt belive it. 3D games are nice and smooth.
