Light Racing, keep the greased but they could very well be source of this annoying noise... planning a trip and am hoping to knock down this squeak, because squeak= metal on metal don't want a failure in the woods

Are the light racing greasable? Meaning do they have a zerk fitting?

K take tension off the bolt clean the area then push new grease in until you hear it pop or the grease starts to come out. Normally you will hear a pop sound and see the bushings start to move. Then re torque the through bolt and wipe away excess grease

Shoot I edited my above post too late the light racing UCAs have a zerk for the ball joint but not for the bushings

Just gave them 5 pumps, the boot swelled slightly so grease is getting in, no change in squeak

Are they poly bushings on the light racing or rubber? If they are Polly they most definitely should be greased or else the squeak will continue

Then your only option is disassembly to grease them.

Poly and when installed were greased, I can see a ring of escaping grease at the edge of the bushings, and they were squeak free for 10k miles... maybe I should pull them and regrease

Rats chewed my windshield sprayer line, went to use and was hosing down my engine compartment. Was able fix with 1/4" line and barbed irrigation fittings, shown in pics. Nailed the bastard later that night. Peanuts. They can't resist. Bad this year think because of the winter rains.

Buying new tires in July, and I have been looking at how tall different 255s are. I was leaning towards the ST Maxx, but discovered that there is no height difference between the Cooper 285/70/17 and 255/80/17, they are identical.
Edit: the 255 are shorter than the 285s, according to cooper website
I know the Toyo mud terrains are taller than most 255 series, is there an AT tire out there that is taller as well? I am adding the 29dxl add a leaf to my Dakar pack so I will be close to 3" lift front and rear. Looking to fill out the wheel well with a taller 255 tire.

Have you measured the 285 and 255 Maxx's? I ask because the 255 should be like 1/2" taller.

That's weird. I have a 255/85r16 in my garage (my spare) and I can measure it when I get home from work in the morning. They definitely seem taller than the 285s I used to have.

I forgot to mention that KO2 comes in a 34"x10.5"r17 and from what I've read are closer to a 33.5". May be what you're looking for.

CMC / flare trim done in expert fashion by @Bentrodder , looks sharp and can barely tell. Anyone on the fence about a cmc have a look at the pic, looks factory to me. Looking forward to some taller tires now that i have clearance. Was great to meet @Porter707 over there, always fun to put a face to a name, and he had a gift card from the NorCal posse towards my fire recovery effort. Thanks guys!!

Cazadero/Gualala area, property owner said I was going too fast across the stream. Guess I was using the "stay on the skinny pedal" approach. Next time I'll go slower. Pic is morning view from camp.

I am parking right outside the guest bedroom and leave for work early so i temporarily silenced the unlock beep. The piezo beeper is forward of the battery in the engine compartment. I used an earplug, found instructions on here somewhere. You can only hear the beeper if you are right next to the truck, and it is almost completely muffled.
