Looks so right with this size, eases the trail limo look with the proportions. Plus added an inch clearance under. 20180130_153308.jpg

They were good, the owner participated with his worker in the swap. Used torque wrench on lugs, I was in and out in 40mins. Probably could have gotten a better price by about 100$ from the big tire chains by haggling /price matching 'net prices etc, but they all had wait times and shipping charges and other bs. California Wheel and Tire had what I wanted shipped to them free the morning after I called. Satisfied.

Was pleased to note the tires were manufactured just 14 weeks before they were installed. I forgot to look at the shop before I had them put on and was relieved to discover they weren't a year old already or something. The first number refers to the week (42nd), then the year.

Looks like I connected my bumpstops with my frame on the Death Valley trip, I don't remember feeling anything but the evidence is there.

@Crom has a DIY on calibrating VSC on this forum. Get that sorted, it’s a serious danger.

Basically stick a paper clip into 2 pins to fix. My alignment shop did mine, I had a close call when it went off and there’s more than a few with similar stories, or went into oncoming traffic with zero input control.

Ended up using some Xmas decoration wire laying around my ex wife hpuse. Recommend paperclip or solid core maybe 14ga wire as will hold shape better and stick in slots more securely. 20180211_105956.jpg

So my VSC light remained on after the reset procedure. So I went through the steps again, this time very carefully. I used a test jumper wire with alligator clips. I cut it in half and stripped a half inch off, then taped the ends into the slots to make sure they didn't lose contact during the process. This made it easier to observe the dashboard. Now the VSC light is no longer on. Success!! I think before I jostled the truck or it wasn't perfectly level, or one of my connections at the OBD wasnt good. Either way, it appears to have worked this time.

EDIT : feb 14 VSC still kicking in in certain turns. Will try a third time, the truck wasn't perfectly level before.

I bet a friend lunch I wouldn't ever use the 110v outlet, lost today. Way off the grid, charging a generator battery with the 5A tender I mounted.

Had the pleasure of meeting @zerotimeouts briefly today and picked up my new @KB Voodoo basket via @EDDO now to see if it fits, haha. Looks like it might have to go aft of the shell mounting point but we will see. Might turn back up on the for sale thread. Gotta love Tee Dub!!!! Thanks guys.

So what I thought was my VSC kicking in was some minor rubbing. Sounded a little like ABS but quieter.20180218_003434.jpg

Turns out I have NOT successfully reset the VSC after three tries. Turning onto 880 from 580 (norcal guys will appreciate me not saying "the" there) ramp yesterday freaked the heck out of me. Much louder than ABS and jerked the wheel hard. Not scary, but startling for sure. No other cars around but I could see if it was a two lane road with oncoming traffic it could have been bad. Each time I reset I think I made an error , like the truck wasn't level, the dog jumped out of the truck during the 2 second reset window, etc. Going to try again soon, and keep both hands high up on the wheel on those sweeping turns. Should I turn off VSC manually til then?
