Just bought a 1992 22re truck. It is not technically a Tacoma, but this site is way better than all the other Toyota Truck forums I've seen. :D

I bought it on Saturday, on Sunday I took it to the coin-op gave it a good wash and wax, then took some pictures of it. Let me know what you think.

    Thanks for looking!

This is why it's a great site... everyone is so nice!! Thanks! The truck has 182000 km's. It is a newish paint job. I would love for it to be a trail rig, but there no trails anywhere near where I live & this is my new Daily.

When we talk about 1st gens & 2nd gen, we're referring to Tacomas.

That's not a tacoma - but just a Toyota pickup. They have their own evolution of generations.

    This is pretty cool -

Fondly reminds me of my 1991 x-tra cab. I think that was the proper name. Loved everything about it cept the torture rack front seat. Nice find.

Yeah, I just traded in my 94. It was a sweet truck, and did not qualify to be clunkered! It was marked for the auction block and headed for its third life! :p

Do you have any mods planned?

    Huh?? LOL!

I'm a girl and I drove a manual extra cab 94 for 12 years and never got a bruise on my leg from the shifter.

Why did you break up with her?

Once I get through the winter, I would like to get a nice set of rims and tires. I think a wide rim with an agressive tire would look really good, peaking out from the fenders.

PS - Thanks to everyone for the welcoming
