Oh boy..... What have I done?
We've had our Jeep (in two different forms) over the past 8 years. We built it up from stock and did most of the work. We lived it, we breathed it, we wheeled the snot out of it. And then a few years back...things just changed. People come & go (good friends and people we wheeled with). One of the offroad parks closed up shop. We only put 400 miles on the jeep last year. We've only wheeled about 3x in the past 18 months. Haven't had the urge...

Last year, I had been poking around asking people about how much my jeep would be worth. Much to my disappointment, the amount I was told was really disturbing. But then again, when you put your heart & sole into something, it's NEVER enough. I never officially listed it for sale at that time, just privately asked around.

Well....about a week ago, I put it up on craigslist. I actually put a higher price on it knowing we didn't need to sell it and didn't wanna give it away.

Then, I started listing it on a couple forums I visit.... and only 2 days someone e-mailed me & came to look at it today. I thought....naaa... they're gonna see all the rock rash and turn their heads. Pictures never do any justice.

Jesus...all I can say is.... this must have been a sign from God for these people to mysteriously show up. They never BARGAINED at all. I'm getting full asking price!!! I'll throw-in some extra goodies for them...just for being a good neighbor and all (laugh). Spare axle shafts, spare parts, the usual stuff.

Ok...so now, I'm feeling some anxiety, can't sleep.... I think I'll be more relieved when its out of the garage. I'm sad but relieved. It was time and time to move on. Now I know its for real.

NO - I won't wheel the tacoma (atleast, not yet :p;))

Sorry, just venting, can't sleep....Argh.... It's all good. (wimper)

Well look at it this way; you'll be driving the beloved Taco more! :D

But congrats! :) I know exactly how you feel. I had this go-kart we built when I was 12. Sad to see it go when we had to sell it.

Now you have room in the garage for the taco.

If you ever get the wheeling bug you do have a 4x4 so you could just play with that. U probably can't "wheel the snot outta it" as you would have your jeep for the sake of damage and rock rash as you said but that still leaves a heck of alot of fun to be had.

Laugh... My husband already claimed dibs on the garage space.
Damn, he took advantage of me (hmmm) when I was down.....

I thinking more of something the taco can tow behind it. :D

Nope, better stick to the original plans. The bathroom needs an overhaul.

This is after I cleaned it up and spayed tire shine on the wheels (laugh)

Janster, you should just hook up a tow strap to your husbands car and get that thing outta there and put the taco in its place. Just kidding. That sucks that you still have to park outside.

congrats on the sale especially getting more than you expected.

    heehhee...

Actually, I think the truck is a bit wider & longer than the MDX. So, I'd probably just barely squeek it in there with only inches to spare. I don't like cuttin it that close or else (knowing my luck), I'd probably be in a hurry one day and hit something.

We have three seperate garages, my taco can only barely fit in one of them, the other two it hangs out. So I know how you feel. I wouldn't want to park it that close either. It also takes me like three or 4 times going back and forth to line it up perfectly due to a small driveway.

Just make sure you get cash or go to the bank with them and make sure that the check is good before signing off on the pink. Just too many scammers on cl.
